!!!SASTRA----------------------SASTRA!!!

hmm.... SASTRA!! when I say this word, it brings lots and lots of evergreen moments in my life!! Academics was just a part, this is where I learnt something more than studies, what life is! How people are! lots and lots of happiest moments with frens and a small proportion of sadness, fights and quarrels,disappointments, madness, cries and what not!!SASTRA has taught me everything! These 4 years wre a mixture of wonders & magic.

1st year F section VDV-106,108!!d bondage v had lik tat o a family! myslf, syambu, venkat, varun, sai, aruna, aishu,gk, bru, lols, my3, sharan, yummy, reshu, sri, abrna, hari, mr.aaru & evry1!!! the ethics classes and the PD classes!! the evs tours and the final day get2gethr in gnanam hotel n d mokkaiest movie"azhaga irukkirai bayama irukiradu!" gethu rajagopalan sir, vethu guna rani ma'm, evs neelagandan sir, SP mam, varadu's postman story, the workshop clases, jollu sirs n lollu ma'ms.. 2nd sem ambi sir!!
I wish these days cud come bk again!!:(


the section split in 2 secnd yr, the separations, frenshp wit Dhoni n d charcoal eraser whch ws a cause 4 t, sangeetha's potato fry, madhu n her techi kadalais, bus chattng wit slow n bar, loud's noise.. everythng stil feels new!!! but d colleg life has come 2 an end!!


Those stone bench chats, bunking the class hours, low internals, mid semster galattas with Slow, sang, Dhoni, Rahul, Motta, Anglo, Mami, j, malu, nagu... chota canteen first interval,Krishna canteen chats and fresh juices! nut corner ice creams, last day dept free tokens,panner soda,mountain dew,apple juice n naans wit PBM....

EEshu sir's "thats al over", Narasiman sir's"cha cha cha what pa", Rajan sir's techi knowledg,K.T mam-d best guide ever!!,PKR sir's ppt classes, the final lecture he gave!! Digital deepa,eie rajee ma'm n her super internals,Rod's torture & d seminar i took,, i wish i could freeze d time!!

Lab sessions wit himanshu n gnyani!!pinky n muza's frenshp in 2nd yr.. The strange freshp tat bloomed btw 4078,4079,4080!! d way v got closer 2gethr! the C section - communiatn lab- ami,ash,av's frenshp..vivekram n cuppy cake song in blue lotus.. tweety n my movie scripts- "harmonica - d step mother" & "GP in germany".. our HR trip 2 neivasal.. me,ashwi,tweety,goms,pkp,dpk,subbu!! my rake receiver team me, janu, baddy, viki.. then d chats wit bhu n gay3!! the project reviews..!!Final semestr E sectn - syambu,raja,jithu n vivek pullng my leg always 4 anythng n evrythng!!

Stone bench chats wit my gang,blesy - ball, kosu n othrs! fans clubs mokkais!! group study wit other dept frens vandhana, anu n vids(all frm biot) durng 3rd yr semestr xamz !! nattani bus travel wit abi,syl,div n lavi- catchn bus on time ws an achivmnt 4 us !!!

Looks like 11th July, 2005 was just yesterday but 27th May,2009 passed away in no time!!I dint cry d lst day.. I dint want 2, hoping al wil stay in touch..!! I pray tat my hope 2 turn in2 a reality!! jus thnking abt my SASTRAn days with prayers and tears in my eyes ----------- (sory di I cudnt control my emotions while writing dis post!!:()

Paathu nadaka maatiya?

Paathu nadaka maatiya--- lol, yeah dis s wat ppl ask me weneva i fal down :P lol yeah,, i fall dwn often :-(.. t has b'cum habitual.. lol.. cha..:(

quite lots n lots o incidents to mention.. 2 mention a few..

1) I fell down today :(..infrnt o GNV 7pm--(tats d reason am posting dis :D..)..sincere a buk a open paninen,, road a pakala.. msg beep.. "1 msg receivd".. mob a eduthu msg padikarthukula I ws on d road..I hurt ma knees :(

2)I have dis habit o falling dwn either b4 or aftr gvng ma xamz.. last semestr, I fell dwn on d day o ma french xam!! I got late 4 d xam coz o d HR proj review n I finished t off asap n ws rushing 2 chith vihar(cs dept o our coleg) whr i fell dwn on d stairs..:(..I cudnt evn do any frst aid 4 d wound,, directa went 2 d xam hal n gave ma oral test...

3)anothr funny inci 2 mention.. I ws in ma 9th std.. n v jus finished our maths exam.. I ws confident o scoring 100 upon 100 n ws dancing wit joy!! ws luking behnd talkin 2 ma frens n walkin, dint notice d danger ahead.. 'damaaaalll'.. paatha I ws on d floor..ma knees bleedng badly :(..

5) I also wanna mention dis funny inci wen i fell dwn on a big pit tat ws under construction!! 10feet deep :O... actualy dis tanjre municipality ws workin on dis drainage proj.. I ws rushin 4 ma mornin tuition classes in ma 12th.. I ws actaly tryin 2 go by d side o d pit n d bike skided n i fel dwn :( sob sob,, wen i got up inside d pit I cud see ppl gathrd arnd me.. around 10-15 ppl.. they wre sayng--"nee uyir pozhachade perya vishayam ma-- I ws lucky tat am stil alive..lol.." gud tat ma pep dint fall wit me in2 d pit.. else I wud hv been writing dis blog frm HEAVEN..lol..



well wen i say all dese stuffs, i shud definitely mention abt wat al, lots n lots a ppl hv comentd abt my walkin style.. lol

-->I will never forget when Rajeshwari mam made fun o me in d staff room wen i ws in class 8th. she said i walk like Charlie chaplin :P gosh!! she gave me training in d staff room as hw 2 walk.. funny isn't t!!! She taught me cat walking.. hehe.. :P

-->sum1 told me--> I walk lik duckling wen I ws small..

I neva hv won any prize in athletics til date.. never wil I(known fact)..I even couldn't get a team mate 4 relay in ma primary cos I ws slow in tat 2(so pathetic am in sports.. sports ws cumplsry in primary.. else wud hv neva turnd 2 tat side..)..lol...

I dunno if d problem s wit ma legs or with ma eyes :P...

Watevr b d case.., my legs neva feel lazy 4 lng walks.. Dhoni(Ram) always says.. "iva evlo nadakka sonnalum salikkave maata".. yeah.. I love long walks :):)n i love my long legs coz they hv gvn me d height,, whch makes many many ppl envy me :P...

n 2 dose fans o mine who r reading ma blog,, tanx 4 ur patience :).. wil continue ma PJ(i learnt dis word 2da, frm ma fren n wantd 2 use t sumwhr :D) or mokkais "ungal anbum aadaravum ullavarai(till u ppl support me writng mokkais :P)"

Daksh & KS

Well I guess that was such a long gap,, wasn't it?!?!.. ya..now I got something 2 write

I just thought why not write something abt Daksh n kuruKSastra.. such a big name na,, so tats y they cal it KS :P..

The year'09 started with d Daksh fever, as usual,n Daksh strtd with lots o events, lectures, workshops everywhr..the 3 days wre so fun.. I dint want to miss d 3 days as this s d last yr in SASTRA.. I jus wanted to roam everywhr n either stand as a spectator or take part in some event n jus njoi d 3 days..oh wow,, hw many toy cars racing in roborace, lots o robots fighting with each other,playin basketballs,etc etc.. 3days wre tremendous fun,, our dept had hella lotta techi circuit events as usual..

For a change i participated in a mechanical event.. METAL JUNKIE.. I had alwaya loved workshop from d frst year!! wow carpentry,sheet metal welding,, i hv always looked with awe wen i hv seen ppl doin weldin in d street corner hw they did such stuufs.. every work is art.. definitely!! Til d event startd v did not kno wat v wre suposd 2 do.. such ws our condition..lol.. v wre a team o 4.. me mad,gk,ab.. :-) v had a gr88 time designin d TARGET SHOOTER(tats wat v designed i think..lol..:P..projectile sorta model 2 hit d target..).. we wre d first 2 finish d model n ours ws d most amateur design..lol.. (nanga mechanical illa pa,adan :P).. hehe.. tho v dint get any prize, we had awesome time, n v wre realy hapy wit wat v designed!!


I n mad participated in anothr event cald DUKE OF THE JUKE..v wre suposd 2 do sound mixing n editing using adobe audition.. v wre using tat s/w 4 d frst time,,v jus went 2 pass d time, patha judge ws our very own SASTRA's KB*.. wen he told me he ws d judge,, enda ponom nu aiduthu,, lol v wre tryin out somethng 4 2 hrs, jus 2 creat a 2 min headache 2 KB*.. paavam avan..lol...

There wre few lectures frm gr8 gr8 personalities,, but na poi atend panni risk edukala :P..hehe..the 3 days wre lik wat they say in tamil.. a THIRUVIZHA.. I njoid 2 d core...:-)

n the THIRUVIZHA ws not over,,, as soon as Daksh got over,, frm d very nxt day, al SASTRites could c KS posters everywhr,, canteen,GNV,dept walls whr not n d beauty ws they wren't any printed posters,, mostly all posters wre made by the arts team!! cheers to them :-) !!! d nxt 2 weeks aftr Daksh one could c d KS organizers go hither and thither,, gettng stufs done,, wow!!




N then d eve came,, yeah 26th feb.. our college's very own music troop's performanc,, oh god!! they wre mind blowing!!! chanc a ila!! jus luvd tat.. :) I couldnt resist myslf dancing 4 d kuthu paattu.. lol..D show ws dedicated 2 our MOZART RAHMAN..breaking d records, around 7-8 sngs wre from Rahman's compositions n conclded wit d anthem oscar winning--JAI HO!! :-)

Another gr8 part 2 mention in KS ws d ART GALLERY.. wow chanc a illa, ena creativity ppl hv got,,!! few o ma works wre also displayed,,!! I shud say I ws lucky 2 hv ma wrks displayed admist our college's gr8 gr8 artists' works.. pencil sketches, paintings, photography, models o clays n wat not... I got few new frens in d art gallery :-).

The night shows wre awesome,, light music, choreo, our college's host performance n everything,, wow,,I njoid 'em 2 d fullest!!! There ws talent and talent everywhr..:-)

The pronite ws d ultimate. It ws like addng a diamond in d ring..!! Both Benny n Naresh Iyer rocked d show!!! The ground ws full, every1 njoid d shw.. those who neva knew wat dancing ws made their ARANGETRAM in d grounds(including me :P)!! March 1 ws one o d joyful days o dis yr..!! yeah really.. our galatta gang ws as usual making fun o one anothr n v jus njoid d shw!!

The 4 day feast ended wit fotohub's vdo, dedicatd 2 d final yrs,, whch ws realy touchng,, gud job by KAR n VC n al d fotohub membrs!! :-)

All gud thngs hv cum 2 an end n tat ws t... !! only a lst few days in SASTRA.. dese days v r tryng 2 stay as much in colleg as possible..

I dunno hw v wil feel afr our colleg s over.. Tho I did nt hv such an xpctd coleg lyf in SASTRA,tho i faced many many hardshps.. I jus luvd watevr I got,, Colege lyf rocks!!!Jai ho SASRTA :-)

an amateur pencil sketch of RAHMAN

I was watching HUM TUM yeste.. i was watching Saif sketching d HUM TUM characters.. suddenly d artist in ISHWARYA woke up..lol.. saying ISHU ISHU y did u stop drawing n painting.. where is the craze in u that u had long time back in ur school days...
odane after d movie.. d artist in me took a paper A4 size sheet which I actually use for writing rather copying assignments... hehe :D... [I dint have a proper drawing sheet :-(]..gada gada nu took a pencil.. got only natraj HB.. again dint have any drawing pencils :-(.. the pencil was blunt.. dint touch the pencil after semester exam na.. adan... took a sharpner sharped and sat to draw.. Then I started thinkin.. ok fine .. I'm ready to draw,, but wat do i draw?!?!?!hmm.. usual cartoons?! no.. scenery?!? no no.. then wat do i draw?!?! I sat in front of my system,, Shall i draw d HUM TUM characters?! cha cha no...then wat do i draw?!?! I started searching in my system,, started to google,, nuthng struck.. then when I was looking at d rahman collections I have in my hard disk,, sudden a I felt y don't I try drawing D MOZART OF MADRAS?!?! (he s worldly-- I would say--MOZART OF MODERN WORLD).. started sketching somethng....


But I realised it dint work out well,, I couldn't sketch the real face of rahman :-( Mayb I ain't gifted or I should learn drawing first then try such things!!!
I lost interest.. I thought of leaving it as such.. But I dint wish to leave it either. My first sketch of Rahman.. How do I leav t?!?! So decided however bad it looks,, I wil finish it off first.. ok then.. shaded d drawing and thats it over :-)




I showed it to my parents.. They said I need to improve(I dont wish to add the comments they gave..:-P.. asingama poidum..lol..)

this post is about my proficiency & efficiency in mathematics-- "mental" maths-- inda'+-x/' iruke adu dan.. hehe..

actually me n my bestestest fren 'V' wre talking abt his 'n'th number of time watching the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. serial(all seasons)..(n=5 til 10th of jan'09)..

now coming to the math part---

I asked him how many days he has totally wasted watching that serial..He said,"There are totally 238 episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.(mega serial range ku irkku iila :P) each episode around 23 minutes.." and asked me to do the math part...
I rounded 238 to 250 and 23 mins to 25
mathematically,
238 ~ 250
23 ~ 25
------- ------

and concluded 250X25 = 6250mins
rounding 6250 ~ 6000 mins (approx.)
6000/60 = 100 hrs

100 ~ 96 hrs

96/24 = 4 days

and his n being 5.. (as given in the problem statement n=5)

4X5=20 days... he was abt to start his 6th round

so i approximated 20 days to 25 days

20days ~ 25days

I added 5 more days(4 sundays and a second saturday (govt holidays..:P))

so, 25+5 = 30 days = 1 month folly :-O

and told him tat he has wasted 1 full month waching F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

His calculator mind worked out math and he said there is one "LITTLE" FLAW..

He said,"one little flaw
you Increased 12 episodes already
and added 5 days to the result
so your answer is WRONG
it is 19 days to be exact"
now lets do the paper work(calculations--)
238 X 23 = 5474mins
5474/60 = 91.2333 hours
91.2333/24 = 3.801 days
n=5
3.801X5 = 19.00694444444444 days totally

He said,"19 is calculator math, fine. but 19 approximated to 30 is not fine at all, in fact it is the opposite of that"[ total damage a pochu :-( lol :P ]...
